In addition to her Design work, Lauri has spent much of her career giving back to the Design community in conjunction with her affiliation with ASID.  She has been a part of several events including:

Lauri believes in giving back to the community and donates her design skills to a variety of great causes.  Lauri has worked with several non-profit organizations including Architecture for Humanity, Habitat for Humanity, Rady Children's Hospital San Diego, and the Ronald McDonald House of Orange County.

Lauri Howell, Allied ASID

Founder + Principal 


A born storyteller, Lauri started her career in Public Relations after receiving her first degree in Communications.  After a few years of creating ad campaigns and marketing collateral,  she found she was better suited for telling stories with color and materials, and decided to turn her passion for  for Interior Design into a career.


After returning to school, Lauri graduated with honors from the Art Institute, San Diego with a Bachelors of Science in Interior Design.  She was awarded the prestigious Professional Portfolio Award of her graduating class.  Shortly after graduation, Lauri began Lauri Howell Designs where she has been working with homeowners, developers, and builders, big and small nationwide for the better part of a decade.
